CO2 emissions and deforestation are two large contributors to the high increase in CO2 in the Earth's atmosphere. Recently cattle farmers have been using fires to clear large areas of land in the Amazon rain forest, this has lead to nearly 60-70% of the trees dying. The Amazon rain forest is the largest land mass that produces oxygen for the entire globe. In China the main source of energy is coal power plants, this only adds more CO2 to the atmosphere and it causes respiratory problems to the people living in China.
@lewisabia @jwa32 @ads171 I've put together a schema for the whole project that I think connects the various topics your different schemas were covering, and I've started applying it to two of your articles:
I did a complete coding of the first article, but I only got a few paragraphs into the second one. Both are now well formed, but BBC just needs more markup to validate the new schema. It has lots of red schema validation errors because the paragraphs require markup inside them now.
You can use either of these for the Schematron Exercise 2 assignment, but more importantly, take some time now to study the schema. You'll need to change your schema association for each new XML file to the new schema. (And I've moved your individual schemas into another file directory so we don't get confused about which schema to apply.)
