Hi, is it possible to integrate the "Powerful" (leistungsstark) button from the Onecta app into Home Assistant so that you could activate the water heating directly from Home Assistant?

jwillemsen commented 2 months ago

That should already be possible, performance, see screenshot Screenshot_20240424_105940

And see https://github.com/jwillemsen/daikin_onecta/wiki#change-operation-mode-of-the-water-heater for how to do that from an automation

Oh great! Unfortunately, I only see heating, cooling, heating/cooling and off. Is it possible that this is because I still have the Daikin Residential Controller for Altherma integration installed? What should I do to update the switches?

jwillemsen commented 2 months ago

You look at the Altherma for your room heating, there should be a separate altherma entity for the hot water tank. Please migrate to daikin_onecta, not sure what the old exactly did support

I have already migrate to daikon_onecta and it works fine. But I have also installed Residential Controller for Altherma. I have Altherma, Altherma Leaving Water Offset and Altherma Leaving Water Offset. But it is always the same: only heating, cooling, heating/cooling and off. Now I have found the correct one. The entity has the name: water_heater.altherma_2 and is not shown at the Overview page. Is it the best to deinstall Residential Controller for Altherma and Daikin Onecta and then install Daikin Onecta again? How is the simple command for an automation only to activate erformance mode?

daikin_onecta also provides control for your altherma, so uninstall residential controller. See the wiki for an example automation. Check the entities under the daikin integration, you should have a water_heater.altherma, maybe a 2 because of both integrations, remove both, restart HA, and add daikin_onecta again
