We don't sign our apps for macOS. We can get a certificate from Apple, but we need to pay $99/year to do this. :( Given there's no revenue stream, this seems like a bad idea.
So, we'll have to settle for not signing the apps (or signing them with a StartSSL certificate), and not having them pass gatekeeper. As such, we need to inform our users what they need to do when they install Arbitrator and/or upgrade.
