It looks like your phone is connected and the driver is recognizing it
Can you try: 1) doing a traceroute outbound from your Mac while you're tethered, 2) 'adb shell'ing into the phone while tethered and trying to ping something from there, 3) pinging the phone from your Mac?
Who is your carrier? Some carriers block tethering through a special APN.
Not sure I know how best to get that info for you. Needed to look up what "adb" was. :P However, I can now access my device via adb in the terminal.
$ ping cnn.com I get this...
I'm still looking around on how to properly run the tests you mention. Please bare with me.
Running Traceroute from OSX with No Phone Tether and with WiFi on Mac turned ON...
Running Traceroute from Phone with tether and not WiFi connected on either phone or Mac... '
I'm pretty sure its something I'm doing wrong here.
It appears the phone is connected but I'm not getting any data. I have tried a variety of things like plugging and unplugging the phone, rebooting the mac etc. No dice.
Is there a special order to installing this? Plug phone in then install. or install then plug in?
My setup: MacBookAir 2013 (OSX 10.8.5) Samsung Galaxy S4 (Google Play Edition 4.3)
