Japanese Keyboard #3

I bought a x2100 motherboard that I installed in my x200 that I got in Japan, and for some reason, some keys don't work at all be it on windows or linux. Under linux, I couldn't get them listed on xev.

The keys in question are: Yen/Pipe, Hirgana RO/backward slash/underscore, Muhenkan, Henkan, Katakana-Hiragana/Romaji.

I think that the layout is Japanese (OADG 109A), jp-OADG109A on linux.

Could this be EC related? I don't know where else to ask and the keys worked fine with the previous motherboard.

BTW, great work with the EC patch. It's working great on my machine. Cheers.

I have the same issue, I just got an x2100 and installed a JIS keyboard. Were you ever able to find a fix for this?

Unfortunately no. The EC needs to be patched to support those extra keys that you normally don't find in any other layouts. If I knew how to setup the the environment to read from the EC I could try to create a patch for it using the X220 keyboard to X230 patched EC guide as reference.

Yes, you need to write new mappings into EC.
