TTS reads -$3.50 as positive, silently dropping the minus #394

With TalkBack enabled amounts formatted like "-$3.50" are read as "three 
dollars and fifty cents" silently dropping the minus. Amounts formatted as 
"$-3.50" are read as "minus three dollars and fifty cents."

I'd expect amounts formatted either way to be read with the "minus" included.
