Some more details could be helpful.
xy comes with PyQt4.
Qt3 was never supported ....

This problem occurs on
Qt Creator 3.1.1 (opensource)
Based on Qt 5.2.1 (MSVC 2010, 32 bit)
However, I tried the latest version and same problem occur .I think there is a
code should be written in .pro file to enable python to run in release mode
