Firefox presumably doesn't suffer from the same limitation (bug) as Webkit wrt to loading xsl imports over http.
If that's the case, and the Fox can load up the Docbook style sheets, then have a webworker render the Docbook locally in real-time in Firefox, and only use the server when the user is on webkit.
