Publishing an npm package reads the README file. Investigate and determine -
If they can be detected then either ignore the npmjs hits or count them separately.
Different "hosts" for the readme is possible. And the only way to distinguish them is by the visiting IP address.
There does not appear to be much value in trying to weed out non-git viewing sources.
