SSL Certificate warnings #2

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Connect to groupme, get a warning for every group you belong to.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I get a SSH Certificate warning:

The certificate for 107.22.208.118 could not be validated.
The certificate claims to be from "*.groupme.com" instead. This could mean that
you are not connecting to the service you believe you are.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Pidgin 2.10.1 (libpurple 2.10.1)
Ubuntu 10.04 (32bit)

Please provide any additional information below.

Hi. Thanks for filing this issue.

Unfortunately, I do not currently know of a fix for this. I just did a google
search and see that some of the other plugins/im services encounter this as
well.

fwiw, I get this message, too. I just click accept. =)

I will continue to look to see if there is something that I can do about this.
