I've acquired an Adafruit "Raspberry Pi Cobbler Kit", which should allow for easily connecting some physical inputs and outputs to the Pi. The first thing I'll aim to try is: triggering the image capture with a button. Ultimately, it might be nice to have a very simple "on/off" switch, a "calibration" switch, etc ...
