need to make documentation on annotation features #159

This is a call for documentation on an existing feature rather than a request for new feature or a bug report.

As a start, here's a great research note discussing map annotation, but we don't have any actual feature description on mapknitter.org or on the website http://publiclab.org/notes/hagitkeysar/11-18-2013/where-do-the-maps-go

This will need to be tackled when the new Illustration interface is posted. But that may be some time away; either way, it'd be great to re-open this as an issue on https://github.com/publiclab/mapknitter
