not sure I understand this one in context
[Another attempt at explaining this] Have a look at http://coursedata.k-int.com/discover/?q=music&provider=&qualification=*&studyMode=Full+Time&distance=25km&order=distance&location=&format=html which is an advanced search for 'music' course that are full time The only visible indication that this list of results includes only full time courses, no part-time ones, is in the URI, which most users won't be reading closely. This seems less than ideal, and potentially a source of misunderstanding, especially when other data about the search results (qualification levels, subjects etc) are clearly displayed. Clearer?
Ah got it! I was confused as to why this was different to #26 but I think I understand now, cheers!
After doing an Advanced Search, the search fields collapse and are hidden from view when the results are displayed. This means the user cannot see what criteria are active and have been applied in filtering the results. This feels like it could lead to misunderstanding (especially when the user wants to switch back to simple search, see Issue 26). It would be more transparent, and better, I think, if all active search criteria were visible alongside the search results. An alternative solution would be to show all active criteria in the Search Results box alongside the results listing. So if I’ve searched on courses within 50km, the box would show x results within 50km and y beyond 50km. I appreciate this may be difficult to implement... in which case see solution above!
