Consider changing distance units from km to miles #27

Would it be better to show distances in miles rather than km, when all road signs etc use miles?

Neil thinks so, I was less sure than you long in the tooth imperialists. Actually the system supports both so maybe we should make it a drop-down and if the user selects KM use that, otherwise Miles? Default to Miles?
