i tried to wrap the switch statement to catch the "escape"-hotkey when the gallery is active. the gallery state ("6") is reset (to "0") somewhere before the contents of the file "feel_hotkeys.js" is processed.

gallery (fancybox) was removed so this issue is no more ...
