I've found the efficiency of the creeps being created is severely reduced after 12-15 body parts, for example: depending on the distance from the spawn carriers do not need to be larger than 8 carry parts to distribute all the energy. And worker units at 4/4/4 is also more efficient.
Creating a cap for typical creeps will increase the efficiency, instead of costing 1200 energy every lifespan for each creep it costs 800.
