It would be nice if :TypstWatch, or a dedicated command, could be used to jump to the current cursor position in the opened PDF, much like what vimtex offers. Reverse search would also be nice, down the line.

That is a great feature request! I will try to read how vimtex does it and see if we can do something similar.

Just to update on the progress. Still reading vimtex when I have the time. The relevant parts can be found under autoload/vimtex/view, such as for Zathura here.
