Extra whitespaces should probably give an error message even though it runs but could cause issues

Unclear why this is an issue. This was an intentional design decision to trim the whitespaces when parsing the pair command, in order to support greater versatility in format input and not be overly constrictive to prevent the pair or unpair command from working if there was more than one whitespace.

Specifically, what kind of issue could this cause? Please advise.
