AJAXSearch sample crashes Safari Mac OS X #12

What steps will reproduce the problem?
Using gwt-google-apis version 1.1.3, run the AJAXSearch sample on Safari
2.0.4 on Mac OS X.  The browser will shut down.

This appears to work on Safari 3.0.4.  Could you see if it still crashes on 
2.0.4?

Yes! Although it works on Safari 3, it still does crash Safari 2.0.4 on Mac OSX

I've got it narrowed down to commenting out a single line of code.

    //hp.add(clips);

Changing the HorizonatalSplitPanel to a HorizontalPanel solves the crash on 
Safari 2.
