As AtlantGIS is a collection of faked geodata the issue of providing proper metadata (esp. descriptive) is crucial. Several datasets relate to real world archetypes; others are identical information available in different formats.
It would contradict the idea of AtlantGIS to enforce a common metadata policy. In fact, providing proper metadata with common FOSSGIS tools is not easy and too many metadata-models are available.
This issue serves two objectives:
The README mentions a narrative to contextualize the data: Is there a fictive research history of Atlantis? With a nice story of consecutive campaigns we could get even closer to a real world research project.
