Kernel Panic when using bluetooth after 10.6.3 upgrade #223

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Make bluetooth discoverable
2. Attempt to link BT mouse with computer
3. Kernel panic message appears

What netbook are you using this on?
Mini 10v, NBI 0.8.4 RC

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Bluetooth seems to be available, but there is no way to turn it on/off
(grayed out), and expected output would be to be able to link the mouse.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
NBI 0.8.4

Please provide any additional information below.
BT worked fine in 10.6.2. Now can't turn it on/off, and won't link to
mouse without causing kernel panic. Have attempted to run NBI with "fix
bluetooth" option checked and again without option checked to no avail.

Thanks.

I have a similar issue, using a HP Mini 110-1116NR, doesn't come with bluetooth
built in, so I bought the IOGear USB Micro Adapter, and as soon as I put it in
I get a kernal panic. Ran NBI and ran only the fix bluetooth option, no change.
Installer a broadcom Bluetooth kext from kexts.com, inserted device and vendor
ID, still no change.
