NBI deletes Extra and boot on destination OSXDVD USBdrive files after running? #259

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.On Mac with 10.6.3 (same on older OSX)
2.Run NBI 0.8.4 or 3
3.

What netbook are you using this on?
1011

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Patched OSX DVD. Can see the Extra folder being created on the OSXDVD
USB/HDD. When progress bar on NBI reaches the end and the 'OK' message
appears, the patch is deleted from the drive, so not patched.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Same with either 0.8.3 and 0.8.4

Please provide any additional information below.
If I quit the app jsut before the 'OK' appears it seems to be OK.
Probably doing something dumb.

NBI Is not for use on the dvd, use NetbookBootMaker.

Also, NBI and NBBM automatically hid the Extra and boot files when it's
finished, so yes, if you are watching in
finder, it'll look like the files are deleted.

Thank you for all the hard work on this project and for the very fast reply.
I did not explain myself well. My mistake I meant BootMaker not Installer and I
have
restored the DVD to a externall HDD. I will try again.

Should NBI 0.8.4 be OK with a retail 10.6.3 DVD which is what I have, I
understand
there are some issues?

NBI 0.8.4 RC1 works perfectly with the 10.6.3 dvd (I just tried it last night).
THe problem is that you must be
running 10.6 on a machine to run NBBM.
