USB Flash drive disconnected/reconnected at sleep/wake. #264

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Insert a USB flash drive so it is mounted on the desktop.
2. Put computer to sleep.
3. Wake computer.

What netbook are you using this on?
Dell Mini 10v. A106. 1GB. 160GB.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
USB flash drive should remain connected, working without interruption across 
sleep/wake cycle. 
However, if I leave the drive attached, I am presented with a Disk Removal 
warning upon wake. 
The drive reappears a few seconds later.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Mac OS X 10.6.3, NetbookInstaller 0.8.4 RC1.

Please provide any additional information below.
This used to happen on my desktop OSx86 box as well until I found out that my 
USB sub-system 
and system timers weren't working correctly (fixed by using different kexts).

same thing on all 10.6.X with an NC10.
