Icon in menu bar worked for presence of Soundflower.kext installed by
AudioHijack software.
So i tried all from the beginning:

1 Restored Mac OS 10.6.3 from time machine backup
2 Installed Chamaleon from Netbookinstaller 0.8.4 RC1
3 reboot
4 uninstalled Sondflower kext
5 reboot
6 installed upgrade to 10.6.4 (this time i didn't touch S/L/E folder)
7 still no audio on 10.6.4 on Samsung NC-10. This time audio icon in menu bar
is light grey with no wave

Here are list of kext after and before 10.6.4 update; also a screenshot of menu
bar after update and screenshot of system profile before the update. Thanks

I found that the previous nc10 extensions had a correct AppleHDA and that the
new netbookinstaller had wrong ones. So reinstall the old one with kexhelper.

I'm facing the same issue on a NC-10 and 10.6.4.

I've looked into NetbookInstaller 0.8.3 and the AppleHDA.kext is the same as
the one found in the lastest version (0.8.4 RC1). NetbookInstaller 0.8.2 does
not contain such an extension.

Gerald, which extension are your referring to? Thanks.
