What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install 10.6
2. Run Netbook Installer
3. Modify GMA950 kext with a011

What netbook are you using this on?
Acer Aspire One 532h

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Full GPU support and acceleration.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
0.8.4 RC1 on 10.6.0

Please provide any additional information below.
I have tried to leave you message through the blog but when I click send the 
arrows go around in a circle forever.

Modify GMA950 kext with a011

This will be the only one release of the instructions how to make GMA 3150 to 
hardware accelerate!

Tried this on 10.6.5 0.8.5 beta. Asus 1001px.

Hex edited AppleIntel950GMA.kext/Content/MacOS/AppleIntel950GMA as follows:

86 80 A4 27 replaced with 86 80 11 A0

Also replaced 27a4 device id with a011 in 
AppleIntel950GMA.kext/Content/Info.plist

System boots, kext loads, no QE/CI.

No luck.

Accomplished the same as aziz.bbb with 0.8.5 beta only on a Cr-48 w/ modified 
bios.  System boots, kext loads, no qe/ci.  Also touchpad is wonky.

Hey, i just wanted to know if this ever worked, and if I could have a copy of 
those instructions on how to modify GMA950 kext with a011. i Have a Acer one 
532h and would like to try my hand in it.

Please, try it as it was described in the first post:

3. Modify GMA950 kext with a011

I've tried 10.6.0 retail, it had installed nice but I didn't followed the other

Honestly I don't think it's that simple. I would just wait for meklort's fix.

cant seem to get "patch27ae.command" to run. keeps throwing back a "you do not 
have appropriate privileges"............

I hav a exopc with intel gma 3150, I am going to try the hack and get back to 
you guy
I also have a broadcom hd crystal for hdmi, not sure what it is but it has a 
driver by that name

I had an idea, can we write a kext from scratch to support 3150 using some 
other driver, for eg: use the closest gma950 driver and a emulator for gma950 
actually a driver for gma3150, like we run linux of windows etc, I know its not 
that straight forwardbut some kinda hack, cause I have read atleast a 100 
forums struggling for the same issue. There is already a linux driver, how can 
we port it to mac??

Hi there,I have installed Lion 10.7.1 on eeepc 1011px,it is fully working exept 
the video,it is the "bad" GMA3150,I can't believe that no one find a solution 
for the graphic acceleration,I want to support any developer to build a 
kext.Please guys,do it.

Hey guys,take a look on you tube video's,there's pinetrial video about gma 
3150.....the driver will be a package not a simple kekt and probabily we have 
to pay for it......For me not problem....I will appreciate if gma 3150 will be 
comletely usable on snow leopard or lion,even tiger too...what about kext from 
MEklort......I think he is an hero...SOrry for my English i'm from Italy.
