Thanks for all the good work you've done on this software. I am having fun with
my brand-new Dell Nickelodeon mini 10v... This isn't really a bug report, but
an observation I haven't seen reported elsewhere.
I attempted to use Disk Utility on my 10.6.4 MacBook to create the OSX install
DVD. I was unable to drag the "Mac OS X Install DVD" to the Source, as
described in all the guides. It just wouldn't work: there was never a green "+"
that showed you could drop it into the source field. (I was able to drag the
flash drive name to the destination, though - it was just the source of "Mac OS
X Install DVD" that failed.)
I ultimately had to boot off the install DVD itself, and use Disk Utility there
to create the install DVD on the flash drive.
I believe there's a difference in the version numbers: on the 10.6 Install DVD,
Disk Utility is version 11.5 (298). On my 10.6.4 MacBook, it's version 11.5.1
(298.1).
I don't know if this actually makes the difference, but that's what I had to do.
Many thanks!
