More info, I noticed when I updated my 9 and 10v that configd kept crashing and
restarting, i think that's what causes the slowness. I get the same issues
with no Airport or Battery

Updated to 10.6.8 with NetbookInstaller 0.8.5pre installed on the HD

Upon Reboot

1. Battery indicator has gone from top Bar
2. Airport refuses to enable
3. USB Drives arent seen and wont mount ( the exception to this was a usb drive
with NetbookBootMaker 0.8.4 RC1 on which was booted from and the HD selected,
this usb drive was then seen )

Tried with both USB Legacy on and off within the BIOS

Thanks

Solved All but Sound,

Firstly, changed the 10.6.8 kernel to a hacked one by nawcom courtesy of this
link

http://prasys.info/2011/06/howto-macos-x-10-6-8-and-intel-atoms/

Then, I had to downgrade the NetbookInstaller to NetbookInstaller 0.8.4 RC1.app
which I ran from the OS after bluetoothing it over from my phone onto the Dell,

This has now got me to a point where all works apart from the sound

Working on that now :)

Aderic, can you check Console.app and see if you have com.apple.configd
crashing and restarting all the time.

Solved the Sound,

basically, I flipped between NetbookInstaller 0.8.4 RC1.app and
NetbookInstaller 0.8.5pre

left it on NetbookInstaller 0.8.5pre and everything works :)

finally i did it! my aao d250 works again..
here is what i did after i updated my system to 10.6.8.

first prepare a usb drive with nbi pre 0.8.5 (with mac os x dvd in it)
then i use nbi 0.8.4 rc1, after that the system was only bootable with the usb
stick which i prepared before..
now i used the chameleon wizard (downloaded from kexts.com) to update chameleon
to the latest version.
my kernel is the patched one from nawcoms blog..

I installed the update to 10.8.6 on my 10v (NBI 20100616212351) using the
modified kernel detailed above. all appeared fine (both sound and wifi
working). Only issue I found was with sleep. Neither normal or deep sleep is
working. I do not use the sleepenabler kext. Any ideas?
