Focus not working properly #245

After updating the add on ,i started facing issues. When i press "L" it takes me to all of the cards that have the target characters whether it is focus 0T or MT and not just the target focus word sentences. In addition the MT cards now show 2 focus words instead of just parsing i+1 sentences.

I have the exact same problem since updating MorphMan, as a result I am relearning words that I already know. For example, 家 is a common word I have on many cards, however it is now presented as a 1T like this: ("Target:re:(^|,|\s)家($|,|\s)"). I hope this is an easy fix because I can't use morphman to generate cards for the time being.

No i have not, i am just manually typing it for now and suspending the ones that i already know or seen even tho they get unsuspended the next day or idk what time morphman decides to unsuspend them ... waiting for an update or fix i guess

I suggest downgrading to the previous version and wait before you update in the future. It's clear the priorities of this project are all over the place or non-existant, unfortunately. Outstanding bugs and issues are ignored and remain with every update e.g. the "learn now" crash https://github.com/kaegi/MorphMan/pull/141 And obviously updates are pushed out to people without any prior testing as is evident with all the issues with the latest version.

Downgrade to a previous version of Morphman or Anki? If Morphman, how do you do that? I'm somewhat new to Morphman so I can't speak about long-existing bugs but if this bug isn't fixed quickly I'll be sure not to upgrade morphman again (when I actually am on a working verson).

This is an issue in the morphman repo about morphman problems after updating it. Of course I'm talking about downgrading morphman.

Here's the link to the previous version: https://github.com/landonepps/MorphMan21/releases/tag/2021.1 Just download the zip, go to ~/.local/share/Anki2/addons21/900801631 or wherever that folder is on your OS and replace the contents with the stuff from the zip file.

has anyone on this thread developed morphman in the past? trying to familiarize myself with the code and request maintainer status once I can fix a few bugs. @BasicInstinct8 @Casiyus @triqster1

"L" is just a helper to search for all of the cards that have the same focus morphs in the Anki Browser. It's intended for use when you need to look for alternative cards with the same focus.

I'm not sure what is meant by "as a result I am relearning words that I already know". Searching for cards doesn't make you learn them AFAIC.

MorphMan does not unsuspend any cards. Perhaps you mean you're burying the cards?

Please tell us more detail about the workflow you are trying to use, like what do you expect to see when you press L?
