is supposed to be a slideshow of 'a folder of our choice'. But there seems no way to do this? No 'select' button or anything...the only instruction is buttons appear on mouseover. Fine - nothing to load a file

All options are set through the Options skin. The option you are looking for is on the General Options page down next to the words Gallery Path.

TY; we will try that. I have noticed though I need to have pic folders in my C:/users drive... My C:/ comprises 2 SSD's in RAID 0 - meaning my 'users' file... But all my data is on my D:/HDD In so many words; I copied a pic folder from my D/Hdd to my C/Sdd/users/pictures folder; and it workd.
