Materials could be assigned with zones and then given a custom item and description like mission mats. Create a zone, create a new item, assign it. Then players can prospect (for mission mats if needed) and forage it.
Quest idea:
We need supplies we lost on the battlefield, try to forage some we lost during the battle. The moment the player starts foraging / enters zone, mobs spawn and attack. Player has to be defended while foraging for mission mats.
