What steps will reproduce the problem?

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Maps scaling controls should be clearly visible. Instead, they look like a mess
of icons. Similar effect can be seen on docs.google.com. Effect disappears if
high contrast is disabled.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

On Windows 8 with high contrast theme.
Chrome Version 27.0.1453.94 in desktop mode.
Effect appeared first today after Chrome restart. Possibly related to resent
change in Chrome or Google web apps.
