First congrat to the developer for this excellent app.
May I suggest to add a ringtone facility when receiving a special control character by the Androïd App from the remote device?
This would add a ringing-pager function to the smartphone's or tablet's owner from the remote device, a kind of local SMS + Ringtone Service over Bluetooth, (without use of any gsm-lte simcard).
Ex: a received ASCII 'Bell' Ctl char 0x07 (or better, a user's choice string of ctl char) from an MCU embedded remote device would trigger a ringtone on smartphone or tab.
