Test notification sent but not any other notifications #218

I have an HTC Hero running 2.1. After extensive reviewing of the wiki articles 
here and also of the android app settings and the AND settings I am unable to 
get any notifications EXCEPT the test notification. The notifications have been 
enabled in both AND and the android application, but to no avail.

The and log only shows the test notifications, for example:
2010-10-07 22:03:40,781 INFO [NotificationManagerImpl] - Notification received: 
notificationId=1277296175562027, type=Ping

Please, attach the complete log file so I can see what happens when other 
notifications arrive.

This issue seemed to have resolved itself after stopping and starting the 
(phone app) service several times. Thanks for the great app! I would 
desperately like to see a widget for the home screen which allows me to toggle 
the state of the service.
