horrible performance when running under wayland #95

hello,

i want to start off by saying thanks for creating this client! been using it for a long time now to be able to play this game under linux.

i recently started trying out wayland though, and opened the appimage, but the game can't run in 3d mode at all and even in 2d mode the performance is horribly choppy. i'm assuming the appimage is running under xwayland because i don't think appimages have wayland support, but is there anything that i can do? or is my only option to natively run the appimage in an xorg session?

just wanted to follow up on this and apologize for making this silly issue post, because it turns out after digging a bit deeper that this problem is not related to wayland at all. i'm using hyprland installed through the nix package manager, and it runs through a nixGL wrapper, but apparently that causes every application inside of hyprland to also use that wrapper, so the appimage didn't have access to the drivers, which is why it was performing so poorly. last night i tried the appimage on sway, which is installed through my actual distro package manager, and the performance was as usual. so this can issue can close now.
