Gradient to transparency tainted by black #465

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Create a gradient with transparency

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expecting gradient to transparent color, get gradient towards transparent-black 
color.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1415:adb52729dd92 (Sun Oct 21 20:09:10 2012 -0400), on OS X 10.8.1 (running on 
iOS 6)
