The current deployment targets of Mac OS X 10.5 and iOS 3 require Core Plot to
rely on older system APIs and prevent use of many newer technologies that would
benefit the framework. Some examples of features that would become available
are blocks, NSCache, and the Accelerate framework. Updating Core Plot to use
some of these newer APIs would benefit performance and allow developers to
integrate it into their modern apps more easily.
Scheduled for release 2.0 since this will be a major breaking change for some
users of the Core Plot framework.
