I think a lot of your issues could be fixed with UI improvements. Things like:

Center Everything on the page or redesign so it looks like it should be where it is
Add a title or logo image
Add sliders for the font size and offset
Have a different background for the controls section
The lack of visuals in general make this look like it's 1999 again
"Top text" and "Bottom text" text boxes should be longer
Maybe add some default meme images to choose from

Side note: where are the ads? That's like half the reason I go to websites.
