What's new feature suggestions #4

The what's new feature should be able to highlight current affairs/news. More blogesque. No need to create new models for one-off issues. For example the businesses that provided shelter to protestors, influencers/artists who came out to the protests.

That's a good idea! Making an announcements for what's new is a preserve for admins only at the moment, so it can be a lot of work for a few admins. We can add functionality for a few moderators to be able to make announcements like those maybe?
