Support for Turkish bible #75

I try to download the Turkish Bible
(http://www.crosswire.org/sword/modules/ModInfo.jsp?modName=TurNTB&beta=true)
but I have to install it manually. I thought initially this was because it is a
beta module, but from looking at the code you do have a BetaRepo module
configured however it seems very limited in what it allows through. Could you
please enable this Turkish bible in it?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Latest version downloaded today from Android Market;

There are a few issues raised regarding TurNTB on this page:
http://www.crosswire.org/wiki/Modules_in_the_beta_repository

Could you scan the issues and tell me if you still think the TurNTB is fine?
If so I will add it to the list.

If you are interested in addressing some of the issues then you should e-mail
sword-devel: http://www.crosswire.org/mailman/listinfo/sword-devel

Also, if you would be interested in localising the And Bible user interface
into Turkish it would be appreciated.

Thanks
Martin

Hi Martin thanks for your fast response. I've looked through those comments -
missing verses are probably best explained by the ordering of Turkish being the
reverse of English; missing chapters I'm not sure but I'll speak with the
publishers about redoing the import. For the time being as long as it doesn't
break the program (and the few gen/mat chapters i've looked at don't) then I'd
think it better to put it in than not? There is certainly a need for it here.
I'll keep the UI translation in mind I assume it's just a matter of editing the
'tr' lang file?

Hi Mark,

I have added TurNTB to the list for the next release.

For localisation we use http://amanuens.com/ which simplifies the process. It
would probably take a couple of hours for a basic ui localisation if you are
fluent in Turkish and English. To see what changes you can try changing the ui
language via And Bible/Menu/More/Settings/Application Language/chooseAnyLang.

Best regards
Martin
