Blood Hunter's crimson rite, a potential improvement, clarifying damage types. #1090

This particular pet peeve has been bugging me for nearly a year now. I find it frustrating that the damage time for Crimson Rite only says "Crimson Rite damage," so I always have to remind my DM what damage type I'm using for resistance/immunity or vulnerability reasons.

It would be lovely if there were a pulldown menu next to the enable/disable option for the rite damage that would allow you to choose your desired damage type. The possible implementation I could see for the feature would be as follows:

1. It could simply list every damage type, allowing the user to choose at their discretion.

2. To avoid confusion, list only the chosen damage types. I'm not coding savvy; However, it seems possible to me, at least, that you could track the types chosen originally at level 2 and every proceeding level increments. Though in cases like homebrew feats, sub-classes, etc, maybe giving a "custom" option in the menu that would allow the user to type in whatever you'd like might be a good idea.

As for the layout of the text, something like this would look best, in my opinion. However, this is the least important matter if you find something that works better, by all means.

Thanks for reporting this, I think having the type of damage in parenthesis next to the "Crimson Rite Damage" string would be very doable and useful.
