the jar file is missing, or hidden very well. the only jar file i could find did nothing

Sorry for the delayed reply! I am not sure if I understand your question. This github repo does not contain built JAR files. Either build the JAR yourself using the instructions in README.md or download it from https://sourceforge.net/projects/upnp-portmapper/files/latest/download
