Simulate the ionosphere too #4

Great project, great idea.

Probably out of scope for this effort, but one of the neat things about listening to WWV is that you get to hear the ionosphere and the characteristic distortions of shortwave radio. I came across this of interest:

It turns out that this can be done rather easily by downloading REAPER (Rapid Environment for Audio Production, Engineering, and Recording - a digital audio workstation created by Cockos) and importing AM_Radio_Sim project created by a REAPER forum member, Ollie.

Cool idea! I could definitely see adding something like this to create a more realistic ambience. I have little time to work on this, but I'll be giving it some thought. The linked example is processing a single file, but the simulator ends up stitching together lots of little clips, and I think stitching processed versions might end up sounding weird. Not sure.
