Partial Wake Usage is very high #55

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Using the 'Spare Parts' app, go to Battery History
2. Partial Wake Usage
3. Since last unplugged

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

This app is great, however the partial wake usage is draining my battery
quicker than expected. Could this be looked into as I think it may be a bug.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

1.1.0

Please provide any additional information below.

Can you please provide more data? How much awake time do you see there?

Note that SMS Backup wakes up the device regularly in order to check for new
outgoing
messages to backup every 30 minutes. It should, however, let the device sleep
again
rather quickly if there are no new messages.

You can also disable automatic backup in order to reduce battery usage.

Greetings,

I'm not sure if this is the proper forum to state this, but I am seeing the
same
issues as the OP. I'm actually experiencing 100% awake time. I've pinpointed
the
issue to SMS Backup keeping the phone awake at all times. I'd love to utilize
the
auto backup w/o running into this problem, however, if for the time being, the
only
result is disabling auto-backup, I'll have to do that because this app is
magnificent. Please advise if there is any update in the works or workaround
to the
issue. Great job on the app!
