A few design annoyances #55

This is an extremely nice idea and a pretty good execution! I like it a lot. Certainly helps deal with Google's seemingly arbitrary choices regarding their products.

I have a few things that annoy me about the theme: inbox theme can get better

Things that really bother me:

  1. The message count shouldn't be red, it collides with the overall blue design.
  2. The search box is not aligned with the content. This REALLY bugs me.
  3. The Inbox text is not aligned with the hamburger menu

Things that bother me less but can be improved:

  1. The left padding for the first item seems a tad off
  2. The "hide side panel" arrow shows on top of the side panel, when clicked it disappears entirely.
  3. The button could be the new flowery button, like Simplify Gmail has - just to match the new material design vibe.
  4. What if we had an option to hide hangouts? You know, because nobody uses it
