Dear Kaltura CE users,

As we see increased adoption of this project, we're interested to learn more about which organisations are using it. If you wish to participate, please comment here with the name of your organisation (we may add a logos section to the README file). If you care to share some details about how you use the platform or additional features you're interested in, that would be great.

Thanks,

Jess

Hi Jess,

I'm Leif Perzon at Castrix. We are based in Sweden and use Kaltura CE as the digital asset backbone for our system that swedish schools use for streaming educational films.

Regards, Leif

Hi, my name is Toni and I'm working on the CanalGVA (http://canal.gva.es) project belonging to the GVA (Generalitat Valenciana) (http://www.gva.es) in Spain. We use kaltura (http://videos.canal.gva.es) and wowza to provide streaming video service to all the departments that want to upload videos to the Internet. Some of them use Liferay and we have used a portlet to be transparent to the user.

Hi Jess,

I nearly forgot about this request… sorry.

We are a small liberal arts university in Northern Ontario Canada. We use Kaltura as an internal service for our library and our faculty. It is used to serve instructional video and recorded lectures. for both our Library (Drupal) and our LMS (Blackboard). Although some instructors themselves use the tool, it is mostly used by a couple technologists doing the grunt work. We are unfortunately stuck on a very old version (5.x) and after several failed attempts to upgrade/convert/import to current releases on a newer server, we have pretty much given up. When our current installation finally (and eventually) fails for us, we will likely move to some other platform, as it looks like starting fresh and re-doing all embedded content on all sites will be unavoidable then, and management has decided to look for a solution with commercial support. That is a real shame, because with you at the helm of the open source community for Kaltura, there has been a LOT of serious improvement, but my management has no confidence or appetite for open source any more.

Very best regards, v

Hi There

I am Roger Barras at the University of Applied Science HTW Chur in Switzerland.

We are using Kaltura CE for instructional videos and recorded lectures and events since August 2016, but we are still on the beginning and have set up a couple of publishers. We decided us for Kaltura CE because it is an affordable solution to provide self-hosted private videos. For our LMS (Moodle) we use the embeded code to integrate the videos in our courses. An we are interested for a smoother integration of the Kaltura CE with the LMS and something like the Mediaspace for the CE and a solution to automatic upload Adobe Connect recordings into kaltura.

Best regards Roger
