Providing amenities like clean food and water is one of our primary causes of service. In these trying times of a pandemic, access to these amenities have become difficult for the underprivileged. Kalyani Samriddhi started a Food For All campiagn from 30th March to 2nd April, where we provided basic food packages to labourers and the poor. The distribution camp was set up at the Raiganj Railway Station, where volunteers would distribute packages for meals thrice everday.
The campaign was launched under the supervision of local police volunteers who helped overseeing and supervising the food distribution and the safety requirement of sitting safely apart. Each package contained basic lentils, vegetables, and rice. All receivers were made to sit at a safe distance, which was marked for ease of handling the crowd.
The campaign was well received by the community. It was also featured in the local media and a lot of new volunteers came forward to take part in this campaign. We are very thankful to the local police and all volunteers for making this campaign a huge success.
