Access to personal protective equipment (PPE) has become dangerously low in the face of increasing demands due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). Kalyani Samriddhi, in association with Lions Club International, launched a support camp which distributed PPE kits. The kits involved hand sanitizers, face masks, thermal scanners, and face shields.
The campaign was met with a positive response and we were greatly supported by the Raiganj Merchant's Club Association. The campaign also involved distribution of aforementioned kits to local street vendors and hospital doctors and nurses. The campaign was launched in the presence of the Chairman of Rogi Kalyan Samiti, Uttar Dinajpur.
In addition to kit distribution, Kalyani Group of Industries also helped the state government in providing transport services for migrant labours. 5 buses were paid for and sent as part of the support camp.
