Strange autocomplete and removal

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. type 'System.o'
2. press shift+f1. popup will appear.
3. press esc, 'o' will appear in text: 'System.oo'.
4. press backspace, both 'oo' will be removed

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect 2nd 'o' do not appear on step 3 and only one 'o' to be removed on 
step 4.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
