By default openSUSE uses the Btrfs filesystem for root (/
), which supports snapshots. Snapper is a tool for managing those snapshots and is available as a command line tool and a YaST module.
According to the Snapper Tutorial, needed packages can be installed with:
# zypper in snapper yast2-snapper snapper-zypp-plugin grub2-snapper-plugin
Linux Kamarada is moving to GitLab. Any updates to this issue are going to be reported on GitLab.
Linux Kamarada must provide its users the ability to rollback the system to a previous working state if a problematic change (e.g. software update or configuration) occurs.
