Printing on Linux is handled via CUPS (Common Unix Printing System):

# zypper in cups cups-client

HP printers, scanners and all-in-one devices are supported by the HPLIP driver:

# zypper in hplip

Most of the printer drivers for Linux and openSUSE are provided by the projects:

# zypper in OpenPrintingPPDs OpenPrintingPPDs-ghostscript OpenPrintingPPDs-hpijs OpenPrintingPPDs-postscript
# zypper in gutenprint

To print using a Windows shared printer, Samba client is needed:

# zypper in samba-client
